Annual Tax Planning
Proactive, year-round tax planning for individuals and businesses in Elche and Spain — so fiscal decisions are made before the deadline, not after it.
What is it?
Tax planning is the process of organising your financial and business decisions throughout the year in a way that minimises your legally payable tax without incurring risk. It is distinct from tax compliance — compliance is about filing correctly what has already happened; planning is about structuring what is about to happen. In Spain's complex tax environment, with multiple overlapping taxes at national, regional and local level, proactive planning can make a very significant difference to the final tax bill for both individuals and businesses.
For individuals, annual tax planning typically involves decisions around pension contributions, investment timing, property transactions, the optimal allocation of income between spouses, and the use of regional deductions available in the Valencian Community. For companies, planning centres on the timing of expenses and income, the correct use of accelerated depreciation, the deduction of R&D and innovation expenditure, reinvestment incentives, and the structuring of remuneration to shareholders and directors in a tax-efficient way.
At GCT1, we schedule a dedicated planning review with each client before the end of the fiscal year — typically in October or November. We model the fiscal impact of different decisions, present concrete options with quantified savings, and help you implement the most advantageous strategies within the framework of current Spanish tax law. Our goal is that by 30 June, when the IRPF campaign closes, there are no surprises: every opportunity has already been acted upon.
